At the same time, the Nepal government has announced a public holiday on Sunday and Monday keeping in view the security due to heavy rains. In the information issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, due to rain, public holidays have been spoken about due to floods in many areas. The government has announced a holiday in all the departments except national disaster management and hospitals.
All the river corridors of Kathmandu have been completely banned in traffic. Due to floods in the coastal area, the residents of there are being sent to safe places. The government has advised people to be vigilant, stay in a safe place and not to get out of homes. All helicopter companies have been asked to stay on standby. Army’s night vision chopper has been kept in preparation stage at the airport in Kathmandu.
