Up news: In the gaiety of Holi, there is necessary news for those who spill jam. Gautam Buddha Nagar District Administration has ordered to keep all liquor, beer and cannabis shops closed throughout the day of Holi for the purpose of maintaining peace.
District Administration has issued an order in this regard. All other licensed liquor shops including domestic, foreign liquor, beer, cannabis shops, premium retail vends, model shops, bar, sangue, military canteen, paramilitary canteen, wholesale license, pharmacy and brand license will be closed.

In lieu of this liquor ban, shopkeepers will not get any kind of reward. According to the district administration, this decision has been taken to maintain law and order in the district during Holi, so that any untoward incident can be stopped.
On March 14, no liquor shop will be opened in the entire district. The administration has clarified that strict action will be taken against those who violate this order. The Excise Department and the police team will continuously patrol the illegal liquor sale.
