Aligarh Muslim University located in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh has been threatened with a bomb. The threat has been given through mail. The person who sent the mail has demanded Rs 2 lakh. After the matter came to light on Thursday (January 9) night, the bomb squad of UP ATS searched the entire university. Dog squad was also included in the search operation.
According to information received from the police, the threat was given on the official administrative email account of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). A threatening mail came on this account, after which there was a stir in the university campus.
‘If you don’t pay…’
AMU Professor Wasim Ali said that a mail was missed on the university’s email account, in which a UPI address was given. A demand for money was made in the mail. The sender of the mail had threatened that if the money was not sent, the university would be bombed. The sender of the mail has not written his name or any identity. It is being told that a demand of Rs 2 lakh was made in the threatening mail.
UPI ID verification started
After receiving the mail, the AMU administration immediately informed the district police. After this, the ATS Bomb Squad conducted an investigation operation in the entire campus. Although, no suspicious thing has been recovered in the university so far, but as a precaution, security has been increased around the university campus. Giving information about the incident, Deputy SP Abhay Kumar Pandey said that the UPI ID has been given to cyber crime, which is being investigated.
