The Pakistani Army, along with the Air Force, Frontier Core (FC) and Special Service Group (SSG), has successfully completed a large rescue operation against militants who attacked the Jafar Express near Boln in Balochistan and all the hostages have been released. However, 21 passengers died.
According to the report of Pakistani media, 33 terrorists were killed, while all hostages have been rescued safely in a phased manner. Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary said that the Pak Army has killed 33 terrorists as a result of the rescue operation and saved all the hostages safely.
