All the judges of the Supreme Court have announced to make their assets public. Chief Justice Sanjeev Khanna will also have to make the details of his property public.
The Full Court of the Supreme Court has decided that the judges should make the entire details of their properties public as soon as they take over. The CJI and the judge will voluntarily make public the full details of their properties on the Supreme Court website. Currently, a total of 30 judges have made public details of their properties in the Supreme Court including CJI.
These include judges like CJI Sanjeev Khanna to Justice BR Gawai, Justice Suryakant, Justice Abhay S Oak, Justice JK Maheshwari, Justice BV Nagratna.
Let us know that this news has come out at a time when a cash was recovered from Justice Yashwant Verma’s residence. CJI Sanjeev Khanna started a three -member internal investigation against Justice Yashwant Verma on 22 March to investigate the case of cash. It is alleged that notes were found from Justice Verma’s official residential complex, where the fire was caught on 14 March. These bundles of notes were seen by the team of fire brigade in the store room. Many notes were burnt due to the fire.
