The number of devotees going on Amarnath Yatra has crossed two lakhs so far this year. A total of 17,317 devotees visited Baba Barfani on Sunday. With this, the total number of travel has reached 2,00,063.

According to the news agency report, official sources said that 12,210 men, 4,202 women, 264 children, 103 sadhus, 18 sadhus, 18 sadhus, six transgender and 514 security forces were included in the visitors. People’s faith and enthusiasm towards the yatra is increasing every day.

The annual Amarnath Yatra, which started from 3 July, will run till 9 August. The cave of Amarnath is situated at an altitude of about 3,800 meters above sea level, where the devotees have to pass through difficult mountainous routes to reach. Despite this, thousands of people are reaching to see Bholenath every day.

This year, those who participated in the Amarnath Yatra include not only devotees from different states of India, but from children to elderly, saints and security forces are also participating in the journey with full faith.

Extensive security arrangements have been made during the yatra. Army, police, CRPF and other security agencies are constantly monitoring the journey route. Besides, facilities like medical camp, rest house, helicopter service have also been made available for pilgrims. The continuous increase in the number of travelers shows the increasing popularity of the Amarnath Yatra.
