Amarnath Yatra Security Tighten after Pahalgam Terror Attack Capf Units Jammer Drones and K9 Units

Amarnath yatra security: After the recent Pahalgam terror attack, the government is considering tightening the security system for the Amarnath Yatra. It is planned to deploy 581 units, drones, jammers as well as 9 units of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). The journey of Amarnath is going to be small this time, which will be from 3 July to 9 August.

According to the news agency ANI, this pilgrimage is taking place at a time when the entire India is on high alert along with Jammu and Kashmir after the Pahalgam terror attack and operation vermilion launched against Pakistan. For the first time, signal jammers will be installed to protect the movement of the convoy under extensive changes in security system. These steps have been taken to neutralize the dangers caused by remote control explosive devices (IEDs). Apart from this, the paths and all roads leading to the National Highway will be temporarily closed to ensure maximum security during the passing of the convoy.

These are security arrangements for Amarnath Yatra

1. Security forces will be deployed on both Pahalgam and Baltal routes, in which several layers have been arranged. For example, Road Opening Parties (ROP) which will keep the major parts safe and clean before the movement.

2. Also, Quick Action Teams (QATS) will also be deployed for rapid response and squad to cancel explosives.

3. Apart from this, 9 units of highly trend sniffer dogs will also be deployed to locate explosives. At the same time, there will also be drones for real time aerial surveillance.

4. Earlier, Jammu and Kashmir Police Chief Nalin Prabhat had instructed the security forces to strengthen the measures to reduce possible risks by deploying anti-sabotage teams on the pilgrimage route.

5. The Director General of Police (DGP) also asked them to use high technology to increase the capabilities of monitoring and explore the danger.
