America Bird Flu News: A unique case of theft has come to light in America, where thieves cleaned their hands on eggs instead of money or jewelry. Thieves stole more than one lakh eggs of a grocery shopkeeper at Franklin County, South-Central Pennsylvania, USA. The price of these eggs is said to be 40 thousand dollars (about 35 lakh Indian rupees). Recently, eggs were stolen from organic farms amidst the outbreak of bird flu in the US.
Thieves ran away with eggs in truck
At this time in America, due to bird flu epidemic, eggs are touching the sky. Millions of chickens died due to bird flu here, due to which there is a shortage of eggs. According to the BBC report, the police said that the theft of eggs took place on 1 February 2025. The thieves brought the truck and left it with eggs. According to the US Department of Agriculture, in recent months, outbreak of bird flu epidemics has increased in many parts of America.
Egg price increased in America
According to the consumer price index, the price of supply has increased by 36.8 per cent over the previous year due to the reduction in supply. Pennsylvania State Police is investigating the theft of eggs. The US Department of Agriculture estimates that this year the total food cost is expected to increase by just 2.2 per cent, while the prices of eggs may increase by 20 per cent.
Millions of birds were killed due to bird flu
According to the report of news agency Shinhua, eggs were seen missing from the entire market in many places in the US. The report said that it can be a bit difficult to tell how much time it will take to reduce the outbreak of bird flu. USDA AMS said in the January 3 report that large-scale infected birds are being killed in the US and sometimes millions of birds are being killed at one place.
