According to reports, the company has announced that it will lay off around 1,800 employees. The company’s CEO Sasan Goodarzi has also written an open letter to the employees. According to TOI report, the company’s CEO says that the purpose of the layoffs is not to cut costs. It expects the company to rehire a similar number of employees, primarily across its engineering, product and sales divisions.

In a letter to the employees, Goodarji has said that the more than 1,000 employees who are being laid off are ‘not meeting the expectations’. It is believed that the company will close its two sites in Edmonton, Canada and Boise, Idaho.

It has also been said in the CEO’s letter that 300 posts are being eliminated to improve the work. As part of the layoff plan, 80 technology roles are being consolidated in Atlanta, Bengaluru, Tel Aviv and other locations.
