Amid the ongoing military tension in Iran and Israel, two consecutive earthquakes in Iran have raised new suspicions. A 5.1 magnitude earthquake occurred in Semanan province of Iran at 9:19 pm on Friday evening. This shock was at a depth of 10 km, due to which shocks were felt in many areas including Tehran. Earlier, on 15 June, Fordo also recorded a 2.5 magnitude earthquake, which was reportedly come after the Israeli airstrikes.
The time and places of these two earthquakes emphasized the ongoing speculation about nuclear activities. Especially when there were reports of Israeli attacks on nuclear bases like Natanz, Isfahan and Fordo and signs of loss in satellite photographs.
However, experts believe that Iran is located on ALPINE-Himalayan Seismic Belt and there are more than 2,000 earthquakes every year, with 15–16 earthquake intensity 5 or more. Between 2006 and 2015, more than 96,000 earthquake tremors were felt in Iran.

Does such an earthquake come from nuclear test?
According to organizations such as USGS and CTBTO, atomic explosions can cause earthquakes by triggering seismic stress, but they are usually less intensity than the explosion and are limited to a few kilometers a radius. Natural earthquakes consist of both P-Wave and S-Wave, while nuclear blasts mainly produce P-wave.

The analysis of CTBTO and independent earthquake experts indicates that semonan and Fordo earthquakes correspond to natural seismic activities.
