Amritsar Airport in Punjab received a threat to blow up on Monday evening. An unknown person called the airport administration and said that the airport would be bombed. As soon as the threat was received, there was a stir at the airport and the security system was tightened.
The police reached the spot and registered a case and started investigation. Bomb disposal squad and dog squad have also been deployed in collaboration with security agencies. Currently, operations are normal at the airport, but intense investigation is being done in terms of security.
However, so far no recovery of any suspicious item has been reported. The police is also investigating it as a handiwork of mischievous elements, but no possibility is being ignored.
