Anand mahindra reaction: India’s veteran businessman and Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra has reacted to a proposal by Bukele, President of El Salvador. In fact, El Salvador President Naib Bukele has made a proposal to the US, in which he offered the US administration to pay a fixed price to keep American criminals in his country. Anand Mahindra has described this proposal as an outsourcing opportunity, which he has hoped that India will never do so.

El Salvador President argued behind the proposal
On the social media platform X El Salvador President Bukele said, “This price will be very low for America under this proposal, but it will be very important for us and this will make our entire jail system financially strong.” Reacting to this proposal of Bukle, Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra said in his tweet, “This is an outsourcing opportunity that I hope India will never do this.”
It is noteworthy that this reaction of Anand Mahindra came after a possible agreement between El Salvador and the US Trump administration. The US is already detaining immigrants in its federal jails as part of Donald Trump’s efforts to prevent illegal migration. Facilitation of cities like Los Angeles, Miami and Philadelphia is being used for this, which facilitates keeping 500 prisoners.
However, Trump’s move has increased more pressure on the already pressure US jail system. This includes problems of staff shortage, violence and poor infrastructure problems in jails. At the same time, the administration is engaged in finding an alternative solution for this with the limited capacity of ICE.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio described this proposal of the President of El Salvador as the most unprecedented and unusual migratory agreement in the world. He said, “El Salvador has not only agreed to accept its detained citizens, but it is also ready to take any criminal of any nationality. It also includes members of dangerous gangs like MS-13 and Train D Aragua. ”
External Affairs Minister Rubio admitted that the agreement has many legal obstacles, as according to the Constitution of America, the US citizens stop the departure. He said, “We have a constitution .. But this is a very good offer and now the administration will have to decide on it.”
What is Mega Prison CECOT,
CECOT was opened in the year 2023 and is a very tight security jail located in Tekoluka, which is about 72 km east of San Salvador. This jail has the capacity to keep 40000 prisoners.
