India England Test series changed to Anderson Tendulkar Trophy
England and Wales Cricket Board has named the Test series trophy between India and England as Anderson Tendulkar Trophy. Earlier it was named Pataudi Trophy which was named after former India captain Iftikhar Ali Khan Pataudi and his son Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. Anderson told Sky Sports, “It is not necessarily how big the trophy is in your name, but it is also important that Sachin Tendulkar’s name is with your name, who is one of the greatest cricketers for me so far.”
Tendulkar has played 200 and Anderson has played 188 Tests. Anderson, who said goodbye to cricket last year, has taken 704 wickets.
