Anderson in Disbelief Being named Beside Tendulkar: James Anderson again made a statement on Anderson Tendulkar Trophy

London. The name of the Test series being played between India and England has been changed from the Pataudi Trophy to Anderson -Tendulkar Trophy. The Indian team used to come to play the Pataudi Trophy which has been changed this time on the tour of England. England’s great fast bowler James Anderson admitted that he feels strange to see his name on the trophy with Sachin Tendulkar. He also said that having his name with one of the world’s greatest cricketers is a great honor.

England and Wales Cricket Board has named the Test series trophy between India and England as Anderson Tendulkar Trophy. Earlier it was named Pataudi Trophy which was named after former India captain Iftikhar Ali Khan Pataudi and his son Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. Anderson told Sky Sports, “It is not necessarily how big the trophy is in your name, but it is also important that Sachin Tendulkar’s name is with your name, who is one of the greatest cricketers for me so far.”

He said, “If I see his name with me on the trophy, it seems strange. I respect him a lot. I have seen him since childhood and played against him. He has been such a great cricketer who has taken the burden of the expectations of the whole country in his entire career. It is a great honor to share something like this with them. ”

Tendulkar has played 200 and Anderson has played 188 Tests. Anderson, who said goodbye to cricket last year, has taken 704 wickets.
