Andhra Pradesh: After not repaying the loan, the woman was beaten up by tying the tree, the accused moneylender arrested – Man Fails to pay back loan wife tied to tree by moneylender in Andhra Pradesh LCLNT

A embarrassing incident has come to light in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, where a moneylender tied a woman with a tree and brutally beaten and abused him. The incident took place at around 1 pm on Monday afternoon in Narayanpuram village of Kuppam division.

The victim 25 -year -old Srisha came to the village to seek her child’s examination certificate. Then Muniknnappa, a local moneylender of the village, saw him. Srisha’s husband Thimmarayappa took a loan of Rs 80,000 from Muniknnappa three years ago. The family left the village due to financial crisis and inability to repay the debt.

Threatened to kill
Srisha was trying to run the family and repay the debt. But as soon as Muniknnappa saw him, he became enraged. He first abused her, then forcibly taken near a neem tree and tied it with a rope and brutally beaten. He threatened that he would kill him if the loan is not repaid.

Accused arrested
When some villagers tried to make a video of the incident, Muniknnappa also threatened him and beat him up. The villagers immediately informed the police. As soon as the information was received, the Kuppam police reached the spot and arrested Muniknnappa.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed strong displeasure. He talked to the District Superintendent of Police and confirmed the arrest of the accused and directed to take strict action. The Chief Minister told the officials that all possible help should be given to the victim and her family and necessary steps should be taken to prevent such incidents in future.
