Rakesh came in contact with the contractor Laxmi from Handia village. Actually, Rakesh was married to Dolly in Handia village. For the last one year, he lived mostly with his wife in the in -laws.
A few days ago he went to work in the firecracker factory in Hatpipalya near Indore. After this, the contractor Lakshmi lured her more money and took her to Gujarat. 8 days ago, those people moved from there to Gujarat.
Handia (Harda): Four families, 8 killed; Two houses locked After Sandalpur, Dainik Bhaskar’s team reached Handia village on the banks of river Narmada, 9 km from there. 8 people of Handia died in a blast. These 8 people have 4 houses in the locality in front of the Handia police station. There has been mourning in the locality since the accident. There are constant screaming and crying sounds from homes. 2 out of 4 houses are locked. The relatives of the dead are present in two houses.
Rural Rajesh Nayak said- half of the people who were victims of the accident are those who went to work in the cracker factory for the first time. There were about half of the people who had worked in the cracker factory in MP itself earlier. There are some of them who also worked in the Harda factory where there was a big blast with the last. One of these people is the deceased Guddi hero. Some people survived because they took leave 2-4 days before the accident.
The bodies of all the workers were kept together at Banas Medical College, Gujarat.

Most people work as a pressure cooker and wages. Some people also run their livelihood by working in the cracker factory. After the factory blast in Harda, all the crackers here were closed. Right now a factory is running in Hatpipalya.
All the people who have died from this village belong to my family. The dead include my sons, daughters -in -law and grandchildren. Now only two of my sons are left. 250 to 300 rupees for making one thousand firecrackers in Madhya Pradesh. All these people were lured to give 400 rupees to make one thousand crackers.
Children also worked in the factory. There they used to get the task of filling the box, that is, packing firecrackers. For this, they were given 250 to 300 rupees. Arrangements for living and eating were to be made on their own. All the people took food grains from the house.
