This information has been confirmed on Apple’s official AirPods comparison webpage, which lists a USB-C charge cable for the AirPods 4 models to be sold separately. Apple has recently started providing USB Type C port in all its devices and now it is removing the supporting cable. Generally, some users may already have one or more USB-C cables.
But what about those upgrading from an older device or new users starting in the Apple ecosystem? This means they will have to make an additional purchase to charge and use the AirPods. Now Apple can take the step of not providing cable with iPhone also. Apple’s reasoning behind this could be that they are being environmentally conscious by reducing packaging waste.
