In fact, for the last several days, Indian tourists were being told to spread dirt on Pattaya Beach with a video viral on social media. In the video, some people with South Asian faces are seen camping at Pattiya Beach. In the video, people sleeping on the beach, a picnic celebrating group and some people drinking alcohol are seen. However, the video also shows different days and clips of opportunities.
Sharing a viral video, a ‘X’ user Kumail Sumro wrote in the post, ‘In the viral video, Indian tourists are seen sleeping and leaving garbage on Pattaya Beach. Thailand gives six months of visa to Indian citizens and in return they get it. Seeing the South Asian faces, people are speculating that they are Indians. But according to the report of The Nation Thailand, the Chonaburi Indian Association investigated it and has brought out the truth.
According to media reports, it has become clear in the investigation of the association that the people seen in the video were not Indian tourists, but laborers from countries like Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal and Sri Lanka. The association says, “Those who are seen in the video are not Indians. When Indian tourists come to Thailand, they have hotel booking, returns tickets and all the things already. These people are laborers who have come from different countries.”
The association further said, “Thailand’s immigration system is very strict. Everything is checked at the airport – hotel booking, return flight, insurance, everything. So there is no need to take tension about Indians. We will also explain to our people not to do anything wrong.” That is, it is clear that Indians have nothing to do with this dirt.
According to Thai media, now the local police and the community have started keeping Pattaya Beach clean and organized. Activists and volunteers are also making people aware of this.
