An important meeting of opposition coalition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) in Maharashtra was held in Mumbai. The upcoming budget session and election strategy were discussed in this meeting. Leaders of all opposition parties attended the meeting. However, NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) state president Jayant Patil did not participate in it.
Jayant Patil did not attend the meeting
The meeting was attended by Leader of Opposition Ambadas Danve, Shiv Sena leader Aditya Thackeray, Chief Whip and MLA Sunil Prabhu, MLA Bhaskar Jadhav, NCP (Sharad Pawar Gut) leader Jitendra Awhad, Congress Deputy Leader Amin Patel and MLA Bhai Jagtap.
State President of NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) Jayant Patil was absent from this meeting. It was told by his office that he is busy in his constituency due to the already scheduled program. But there is a discussion in the political corridors that Jayant Patil is in touch with the BJP, which has intensified speculation within the alliance.
MVA will boycott T party
Meanwhile, Maha Vikas Aghadi has decided to boycott the traditional T party before the Maharashtra Assembly Budget session starting from March 3. This T party is usually organized by the Chief Minister before the budget session, in which the leaders of the government and the opposition hold informal talks. But the MVA has tried to give a strong message against the government by boycotting it.
