The army thwarted a major infiltration near the Line of Control (LOC) on Sunday in the Kerry sector in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. In this operation, a Pakistani guide associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed (JEM) has been caught.
The arrested youth has been identified as 22 -year -old Mohammad Arib Ahmed, who hails from Detute village in Nikiyal area of Kotli district of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK).
According to the army, the guide caught was helping the terrorists infiltrate. The terrorists tried to cross the LOC by taking advantage of the dense forest and difficult mountainous terrain. Other terrorists fled after the army firing.
In fact, the Army and BSF conducted a joint operation based on intelligence information. In the Kerry sector, the soldiers tracked the suspicious activities of 4 to 5 weapons armed terrorists and immediately took action.
Mobile phones and Pakistani currency have also been found near the Pakistani guide.
