Army Chief Upendra Dwedi has said on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir that in 2014 we had made it clear to Pakistan that if you talk, we will talk, but if forced, we can also tell our intentions in an aggressive way. The army chief said that by removing Article 370 in 2019, we told that the entire Kashmir is an integral part of India.
General Upendra Dwivedi said that from 2014, India has made it clear in the dialogue with Pakistan that if he provokes, he will answer his mouth. Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi said that if we see things before 2014, the control of the Indian Army was very high on the line of control and the Pakistani used to tell us that the partner will come from Delhi, we will fire from here. He said that after 2014 we started such initiatives with Battalion Commanders and Brigadier Commanders. So you will see from him that things have changed because now they do not have to come to Delhi because there is delegation there.
Upendra Dwivedi said that India is clear on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir and has made it clear with the removal of Article 370 to Pakistan in the year 2019 that it is our integral part, with which no communis will be done. He said that now the number of local terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir has reduced, the recruitment of local people in terrorist organizations has decreased, why? Because after August 2019, India made its intentions clear about Jammu and Kashmir and told that the whole of Kashmir is an integral part of India.
Giving an example, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi told how the situation has changed after 5 August 2019. He told that the wife of a deputy chief minister told that when earlier his children were asked to bring flags on Independence Day in school, he used to be confused about which flag to make, but 5 August, 2019 of 2019 Since then there is no such confusion in his mind.
General Upendra Dwivedi also informed that now the Inter agency, security force and law enforcenant agency have joined hands to help the people and now development is being done there. So once all these things happen, then certainly big changes are seen and the government’s move to work on tourism by eradicating terrorism seems to be successful. Now more than five lakh people come for the Amarnath Yatra, which has never been seen.
