Amid violence and tension in Leh-Ladakh, Lieutenant General Prateek Sharma, Commanding-in-Chief of the Northern Command of the Indian Army, reached Leh and met Ladakh Ladakh Ladakh Ladakh Governor Kavinder Gupta. Along with this, he also informed the Governor about the security situation in the area and emerging developments.
According to the Northern Command, Le. During the meeting of General Sharma’s Lieutenant Governor, Lieutenant General Hitesh Bhalla, GOC of Fire and Fury Corps (14th Core), Leh, was also present. The 14th core under the Northern Command (Headquarters Udhampur) of the Army has protected the Line of Actual Control (LAC) adjacent to China in East Ladakh.
Sonam Wangchuk threatens to help China’s army
Ladakh’s social worker (and now accused) Sonam Wangchuk had said in a recent statement that if the Chinese Army now comes to East Ladakh, then Ladakhi people will tell the Chinese army to go ahead where to go. Wangchuk had threatened that till now the people of Ladakh had stopped the Chinese army on the border. But when the Government of India is not asking for demand for him (Wangchuk), the people of Ladakh will support the Chinese army.
India and Chinese Army have been confused since violence in Galwan Valley
In October last year, India and China signed a disagreement agreement to create peace and stability on LAC. After this, the forces of the two countries retreated from the stressed LAC. Since the violence of the Galwan Valley (2020), there was a tremendous tension between the forces of the two countries.
DGP of Ladakh Police made serious allegations against Wangchuk
On Saturday (September 27, 2025), Ladakh Police has arrested Wangchuk under the National Security Act (NSA). The DGP of Ladakh Police has even alleged that Wangchuk was in touch with a PIO i.e. Pakistani Intelligence operative. It is reported that a few months ago, Wangchuk also visited Pakistan. Also during his fast, Wangchuk had given many anti-national inflammatory speeches several times, due to which violence erupted on Wednesday (September 24, 2025). The police had to fire to control the violence, in which four people died and several dozen were injured.
