How did Arshdeep get hurt?
Arshdeep suffered a left -handed injury while saving a shot of Sai Sudarshan during the net session. Assistant coach Ryan Ten Doshe said:
We will decide about the team combination when the Manchester Test comes near, especially keeping in mind the situation of Arshdeep. He has a cut, but to see how deep it is. The medical team has taken him to the doctor and see if he gets stitches or not.
Akashdeep, who is struggling with a groin injury, played the second and third Tests while Arshdeep has not been able to play in this series yet. There is no clarity on the availability of Akashdeep, while Arshdeep seems difficult to play in the Manchester Test, due to which the selectors called Kamboj.
Anshul Kamboj has taken 10 wickets in an innings
Anshul Kamboj took ten wickets of an innings for Haryana in the Ranji Trophy match in Lahli against Kerala last year. He became the third bowler to perform this feat after Bengal’s Premangshu Chatterjee (1956.57) and Pradeep Somasundaram (1985.86) of Rajasthan. He took 34 wickets in six Ranji matches in the last season.
