Former Delhi CM and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal responded to PM Modi’s allegations. He said that we did so much work that we could count the hours worked.
Kejriwal said, ‘He (PM) could not count any work in his 43-minute speech. If he had done the work, he would have counted the work and not abused him. They would have chosen to avoid the abuses, if they had worked.
Kejriwal said that 15 lakh people need houses in Delhi. These people have built 4300 houses. Their resolution is not for 5 years, but for 200 years.
In fact, PM Modi, while starting BJP’s election campaign for the upcoming assembly elections in Delhi from today, described AAP as a ‘government of disaster’.
The PM said that people who call themselves staunchly dishonest are in power. Who himself is accused of liquor scam. They also steal and embezzle. I could also build a glass palace. But I never built my own house, in 10 years I have given permanent houses to 4 crore poor families.
8 big things from PM Modi’s speech,
1. On Aam Aadmi Party
Delhi has been surrounded by a major disaster in the last 10 years. By exposing Anna Hazare ji, some fanatically dishonest people pushed Delhi into disaster. Scam in liquor vends, scam in children’s schools, scam in the treatment of the poor, scam in the name of fighting pollution.
2. On Ayushman scheme in Delhi
500 Jan Aushadhi centers have been set up in Delhi. 80 percent discount is available on medicines. Medicine worth Rs 100 is available for Rs 15. I want to give the benefit of Ayushman Yojana which provides free treatment facility, but the disaster government has enmity with the people of Delhi. Disaster people are not allowing the plan to be implemented.
3. On Yamuna River
Delhi is the capital, many works involving big expenses are done here and they are the responsibility of the central government. Roads, metro, hospitals, college campuses are all being built by the Centre. But the government here has a brake on the disaster. I asked people how was Chhath Puja? Said that sir, the condition of Yamunaji is such that we somehow performed the puja in the locality and sought forgiveness from Mother Yamuna. Look at the shamelessness, these people do not feel ashamed.
4. At Kejriwal’s house
The country knows that Modi never built a house for himself. But in the last few years, the dream of providing homes to more than 4 crore poor people has been fulfilled. I too could have built a Sheesh Mahal. It was my dream that my countrymen should get permanent houses. Whenever you go among the people, meet them and those who still live in slums, come with a promise from me. For me you are Modi only. If not today then tomorrow a permanent house will be built for them.
5. On a flat instead of a slum
PM said, ‘The projects inaugurated today are houses, school-college projects for the poor. I congratulate those colleagues, those mothers and sisters, whose new life is now starting in a way. You are getting a permanent house instead of a slum, your own house instead of a rented house. This is just a new beginning.
6. Ashok Vihar was my place in emergency The Prime Minister said, ‘Old memories are becoming fresh here. When it was the time of Emergency, many friends like me were part of the underground moment, fighting against the dictatorship of Indira Gandhi. Ashok Vihar used to be my place of residence at that time. Friends, today the entire country is engaged in building a developed India.
7. On Swabhiman Apartment PM said, ‘In this India, we are working with the resolve that every citizen of the country should have a solid roof and a good house. Delhi has a big role in the accomplishment of this resolution. The BJP central government has started a campaign to build permanent houses in place of slums.
8. On New Year
The Prime Minister said, “The year 2025 is bringing many new possibilities for India’s development. Our hope towards becoming the third largest economic power in the world is going to intensify this year. Today India has become a symbol of political and economic stability in the world. This year will be the year to further strengthen India’s international image. This will be the year of making India a big manufacturing hub of the world.
Election dates in Delhi will be announced soon The current tenure of Delhi Assembly ends on 23 February 2025. The Election Commission may announce the election dates in the second week of January. The last assembly elections were held in February 2020, in which the Aam Aadmi Party won an absolute majority and 62 out of 70 seats.
