Owaisi targets bjp: In the country, dissatisfaction is being deepened in Muslim society regarding the new proposed law related to Waqf Board and Mosques. Addressing a public meeting in Raichur, Karnataka, Asaduddin Owaisi made sharp allegations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the central government. He said that this law is a conspiracy to eradicate the religious identity of Muslims and capture mosques.
“We don’t need your certificate”
During the speech, Owaisi questioned the ‘5 -year certificate’ rule being brought by the Center. He said, “You are saying that Modi will give a five -year certificate, who will give us the certificate? We have no need for your certificate.” Owaisi said that this rule is especially targeting Muslims and a violation of the rights of religious freedom.
“These laws are just to snatch mosques”
Owaisi said that this law has been brought only and only to grab Waqf’s properties and mosques. Giving the example of Raichur’s historic “Minara Mosque”, he said, “The 500 -year -old mosque is now being called the government that ASI will be its owner, not the Waqf Board. Tell us, how can ASI be the owner?”
“This rule is against the Constitution”
Owaisi, citing the Constitution, said that the proposed law is directly opposed to Articles 14, 15, 25, 26 and 29 of the Constitution of India, which guarantees religion, faith and equality. He said, “This is a direct violation of fundamental rights. From Baba Adam to doom, there is only one option – Islam. Our deen does not need a certificate.”
How to non-Muslim members in Waqf Board?
Giving the example of Karnataka, Owaisi questioned that when Hindu religious institutions can only have Hindu members, how is the appointment of non-Muslims in the Waqf Board of Muslims? He described it as a direct attack on the religious rights of Muslims. It is being said by the government that the mosques under ASI are being looked after by the historical heritage, while the Muslim society is considering it as an interference in its religious freedom. The Minara Mosque of Raichur has become a major example of this, where the controversy between the Waqf Board and the government is getting deeper.
Targeting the government on the pretext of China
He said that “the government’s silence behind the oppression on Dalits and atrocities on Muslims is shameful.” He alleged that Arman and Juned were brutally beaten, in which Juned died and Arman is on ventilator. At the same time, he also accused the Madhya Pradesh police of favoritism and said that the police is also afraid of mentioning the names of the accused. In the speech, citing 2000 square kilometers of land captured by China, he challenged the BJP that “If you really have to show strength then remove China, we will also stand together.”
