Before the Bihar assembly elections, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has made a big announcement for the state’s Asha and Mamta workers. The government has decided to make a significant increase in the incentive amount of both classes. The Chief Minister gave this information by sharing a post on X himself.
How much did the government increase incentive?
Under the new announcement, now ASHA workers will get an incentive amount of Rs 3,000 instead of earlier Rs 1,000. At the same time, Mamta workers will now be given an incentive of Rs 600 instead of 300 rupees per delivery. This decision has been taken in view of the demands of honorarium increase of these long -running workers.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar wrote in his post, ‘Since the formation of the government in November 2005, we have worked on a large scale to improve health services. Asha and Mamta workers have played an important role in improving health services in rural areas.
He further said, ‘Keeping this contribution respect and keeping in mind the strengthening of health services, we have decided to increase their incentive amount. This will increase their morale and will strengthen health facilities in rural areas.
Asha and Mamta workers play an important role in providing services like maternal and child health, vaccination, delivery, and primary treatment in villages. This announcement has been made by the state government at a time when assembly elections are to be held in Bihar in a few months.
