Asia Cup 2025: India vs Pakistan
New Delhi: A major formal decision can be taken on the Asia Cup next week amidst the worse relations between India and Pakistan. There are indications that the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is going to release the tournament of six teams in the first week of July. If everything happens according to the plan, then it is believed that the Asia Cup will start in the second week of September.
According to the report of Cricbuzz, this tournament played in T20 format is likely to start from September 10. Apart from India and Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and UAE will participate in the tournament.
Will the tournament be held in UAE?
UAE Asia Cup is at the forefront of 2025 hosting. This time India is hosting the Asia Cup, but the Pakistan team will not come here. Keeping in mind the current situation, the ACC is looking for a neutral site for the tournament. However, there is also some discussion about organizing it in hybrid format.
The tournament was drowned in uncertainty after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in April. After India started the operation vermilion against Pakistan in May, the matter increased further, causing serious doubts on the future of the tournament.
