Srishti apologizes on social media

Sonam and Raja were married on 11 May in Indore. He reached Meghalaya via Guwahati, Assam for a honeymoon on 21 May. On May 23, he went missing from Nongariyat village in Sohra in East Khasi Hills district. The King’s mutilated body was found in a valley near Weisadong Falls on 2 June. Sonam was found in Ghazipur, UP on 9 June.

The priest Himadri said- no work like human sacrifice is done here. Do not tarnish the image of the historic Kamakhya Temple with such baseless allegations.
The priest of the temple said- Apart from this case, even whenever there is a case of murder around Kamakhya temple, the issue of human sacrifice is raised in the temple. Such allegations have also hurt the sentiments of the people here. Every year millions of devotees from different parts of the country and abroad come to Kamakhya Temple.
Such allegations will spoil the image of the temple, which is not expected. I request the Assam government to make strict rules regarding this so that such allegations cannot be made on the Kamakhya Mata temple one of the prestigious Shakti Peethas of the country.
