The BJP has won a big victory in the Milkipur by -election in Uttar Pradesh. BJP candidate Chandrabhanu Paswan has won by more than 60 thousand votes. At the same time, Ajit Prasad of Samajwadi Party lasted behind from the beginning. Meanwhile, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav also accepted defeat. However, he accused the Ayodhya police-administration of rigging the election. Let’s know who Chandrabhanu Paswan, who waved in Milkipur, the BJP’s glory …
Let us tell you that for the by -election in Milkipur seat of Ayodhya, BJP played bets on new faces Chandrabhan Paswan instead of older. The Samajwadi Party had already declared Ajit Prasad, son of MP Awadhesh Prasad, a candidate from here. Like Awadhesh Prasad, Chandrabhanu Paswan comes from Pasi society. He is a resident of Parsauli village in Rudauli.
Advocate by profession Chandrabhanu Paswan has been a Zilla Panchayat member twice from Rudauli in Ayodhya. Right now his wife is a district panchayat member. Chandrabhanu is also a member of the Working Committee in the district unit of BJP. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he was the Chief of Scheduled Caste Contact. At the same time, his father Baba Ramlakhan Das is the village head.
Born in 1986, Chandrabhanu Paswan’s entire family is active in the saree business. Apart from Surat, he also does a saree business in Rudauli. Chandrabhan was active in Milkipur assembly seat for the last 2 years. That is why the major contenders were also included in the Milkipur by -election. Talking about educational qualifications, Chandrabhanu is BCom, M.Com and LLB.
According to experts, there were about half a dozen contenders for the BJP ticket for the Milkipur seat, but Chandrabhanu won by leaving them behind. The claimants also included two former MLAs Gorakhnath Baba and Ramu Priyadarshi. Apart from these, Deputy Parine Commissioner Surendra Kumar was also considered a strong contender for the ticket. The claimants included many more similar faces.
Many ministers, including CM Yogi Adityanath, campaigned fiercely on this seat. At the same time, the SP also left no stone unturned. Many big leaders, including Akhilesh Yadav, Dimple Yadav, held rally and public meetings in support of Ajit Prasad. But in the end the victory went to BJP’s account. His victory in the Lok Sabha elections is being seen as a return to the BJP in Faizabad/Ayodhya seat.
In fact, in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Awadhesh Prasad defeated BJP’s Lallu Singh, which was well publicized by the SP. But now on the Milkipur seat of Ayodhya, BJP has defeated Ajit Prasad, son of Awadhesh Prasad.
It is known that the total number of voters in Milkipur is 3 lakh 58 thousand. There are most Scheduled Castes and then backward class voters here. Yadav is the most effective in Pasi Samaj and OBC category among the scheduled caste category in Milkipur. SP’s Awadhesh Prasad won from Milkipur in the 2022 assembly elections. He had to resign from the legislature after winning the Ayodhya seat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. That is why the by -election came here.
