The world reputation rankings 2025: IISC, IIT Delhi and IIT Madras have lagged behind the world’s highest reputation ranking of the world in 2025. The list of world reputation ranking 2025 has been released by Times Higher Education (The). Four universities of India have made it to this list. But, it is worth noting that all the names of Indian University included in this last year, they have come down significantly from the last time in the ranking.
At the same time, a university has made a place in this list for the first time, which is named Shiksha ‘O’. Apart from these, IIT Bombay’s name was in the last list, but this time IIT Bombay has been out of the list.
Which university name is included
- Talking about Indian institutions, the Indian Institute of Science (IISC) ranks first in this list, which is between 201-300, the world rankings. It was ranked 101–125 last year.
- At number two is the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, which is between 201-300, the world rankings. It was ranked in 151–175 last year.
- The third number is the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, which is between the world rankings 201-300. It was ranked in 176-200 last year.
- In fourth place, Shiksha ‘O’ has been entered. Last year it was not included in the list.
World’s top reputed university ranking 2025: Harvard again on top
Harvard University is ranked first in the world’s most prestigious university in the 14th consecutive year in 2025. The Oxford University has then moved to second place jointly with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), making it the highest rank of Britain since 2015.
American universities dominate this rankings, including six institutes in the top 10. Singua University in China has retained its place in eighth place, while Tokyo University in Japan has secured 10th position.
