Today (July 5), a multi -time journey will take place in Puri, Odisha. In this journey, Mahaprabhu Jagannath’s Nandighosh Rath, Balabhadra’s Taldhwaj and Goddess Subhadra’s Darpadalan Rath returns to the main temple of Jagannath ji from Gundicha Temple. This time the Rath Yatra started on 27 June and the three reached the Gundicha temple on 28 June. The Gundicha temple is located about 3 km from the Jagannath temple. God stays here with his aunt.

There was a stampede in the Gundicha temple at around 4 am on Sunday (29 June). In this, 3 people died, while about 50 people were injured. Here a huge crowd gathered to see Lord Jagannath’s Nandighosh chariot, during which a stampede took place.

A stampede occurred while reaching Nandighosh Rath. In this, 3 people died, while more than 50 were injured.
Jagannath Rath reached later, people got vogin
In the Rath Yatra of Puri, the chariots of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra are parked in front of their aunt’s house for 9 days in front of Gundicha temple. The chariots of Balabhadra and Subhadra had reached here earlier. Jagannath Rath reached later, which caused people to see him. Meanwhile, there was a stampede, in which many people were crushed by falling.
The injured and the dead have been taken to Puri Medical College. A large number of family members reached outside the medical college.
Rath Yatra took place for two days this year
The Rath Yatra started on 27 June. More than 10 lakh devotees came to see and pull them on the Rath Yatra route. Rath Gundicha could not reach the temple on the first day due to the huge crowd of devotees. The next day i.e. on June 28, the Rath Yatra started again and the three chariots reached the Gundicha temple at around 1.15 pm.
According to the temple administration, more than 1 million people arrived on the yatra on Friday (June 27).
