The government of Jharkhand has taken a historic decision to impose a complete ban on the sale, storage and intake of gutkha and paan spices in the state. State Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari announced this big decision and said that this drastic step has been taken to realize Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s dream of healthy Jharkhand. Minister Dr. Ansari said, “Playing with health will not be tolerated at any cost. Due to gutkha and pan masala, fatal disease like cancer is increasing rapidly. As a doctor, I know to what extent this poison can ruin the body, when the public has made me health minister. Is.”
The minister clarified that strict legal action will be taken on selling, storing or consuming gutkha. Gutkha mafia and illegal traders will be specially monitored. On getting gutkha with any shop, warehouse or person, not only strict legal action will be taken, but the godowns will also be sealed. Strict instructions have been given to the Health Department and the administration that this order should be strictly followed.
Dr. Ansari said, “Mothers and sisters were constantly pleading with me that their children and brothers are destroying their lives by getting caught in the grip of drugs. I understood their suffering and took this concrete decision. Rather, there is a true tribute to those families who lost their children because of cancer. “
The Health Minister said that this decision will become a vision for the entire state. He appealed to the officials and the general public to take this decision as a challenge and cooperate in making Jharkhand gutkha free. He said, “We want to set a trend that other states should also follow and this campaign should be done in the whole country.”
Dr. Irfan Ansari also said that when the public has elected a doctor as Health Minister, he is fulfilling this responsibility with full devotion. He said, “I will not sit peacefully until the health facilities of Jharkhand are improved, till the people here are healthy.”
