Kalyan-Dombivali Manpa has ordered a ban on mutton and chicken sale on Independence Day. Citizens, businessmen and butcher society have protested and warned of agitation. The administration says that this order has been applicable since 1988 and on 15 August and 26 January every year it is directed to keep the shops closed.
