Ban on selling meat in the open on Kawad Yatra route, shopkeepers will have to write names … CM Yogi gave instructions – Yogi Adityanath Bans Open meat Sale on Kanwar Route Shop Ownes MUST DISPLAY NAMES LCLA

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held an important review meeting regarding religious events like the upcoming Kanwar Yatra, Moharram and Rath Yatra. Addressing the District Magistrates, Superintendents of Police and Mandalayuktas through video conferencing, CM Yogi clearly stated that the sale of meat in the open will be completely banned on the Kandar Yatra route. It will be mandatory to clearly write the name of the shopkeeper at every shop.

CM Yogi said that a large number of devotees participate in the Kavad Yatra. In such a situation, the possibility of disturbing the atmosphere by changing the dress by any chaotic element cannot be ruled out. Respect for the religious sentiments of the devotees is paramount, but no one should get an opportunity to do mischief. He further said that like previous years, the name of the operator should be clearly written at every shop, so that transparency remains and can be protected from rumors.

The CM asked the officials to crush any inflammatory slogan, the display of weapons or the conspiracy to spread communal tension with immediate effect and strict legal action should be taken against the culprits. He also directed that the height of DJ and Tajia should not exceed the fixed limit and the decibel limit should be strictly followed for noise pollution control.

Strict action will be taken on those who spread rumors

CM Yogi warned the officers to take immediate action on rumors spreading on social media. During the month of Shravan, instructions were also given to set up special teams for cleaning, mob management, medical and disaster management of temples. Regarding this statement, Minister Jayveer Singh in the UP government said that the Kandar Yatra is a Hindu religious tradition, meat shops should remain closed and shopkeepers do not need to hide the name.

SP said- This rule should be applicable for everyone

At the same time, Samajwadi Party leader Fakhrul Hasan Chand said that in the name of Kavad Yatra, such instructions can affect the livelihood of poor shopkeepers. If it is a matter of writing the name, then this rule should be equally applicable to all communities, not by targeting a particular group.
