A case of death of a person has come to light in a clinical trial in Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka. Police said Nagesh Veeranna (33 years) was involved in a research and development company’s clinical trial.

He died due to side effects of drugs given during the trial. The police have filed a report of the unnatural Death under Section 194 (3) of the BNS on the complaint of the deceased’s brother. The research company has said to cooperate in the investigation.

Brother said- Nagesh had stomach ache after taking medicine The deceased’s brother Revan Siddappa said that in December 2024, a private hospital was admitted to the ICU of a private hospital due to some health issues. After this, a research company named Sinzen International contacted him to be a part of its clinical trial.

The company gave him some tablets and injections. They were completely healthy. Revan said that his brother used to complain of stomach ache after taking tablets and injections. However, later this problem was cured. He used to go to the company regularly for health checkup.

Similarly, on 21 January, he also went for checkup. After returning from there, he ate food at night and fell asleep. When he did not get up in the morning, we contacted the doctor of the company. He asked Nagesh to be taken to the same hospital where he was first treated. On reaching there, the doctors declared Nagesh dead.
