About five people have been arrested for sabotage in the ancestral house of Nobel Prize winner Rabindranath Tagore at Bangladesh (Bangladesh). According to the agency, officials have said that no heritage related to Tagore has been damaged. According to the report of the Dhaka Tribune newspaper, the Ravindra Kachhribari i.e. Ravindra Memorial Museum, which was closed on Sunday, has been reopened to visitors on Friday.
The Tagore family located in Kachhribari in Sirajganj district has an ancestral home and revenue office. The campus purchased by Dada Dwarkanath Tagore of Rabindranath Tagore in the year 1840 was a favorite place for the Nobel Prize winner, who completed many of his literary works at this place.
Ministry released a statement
The Ministry of Cultural Affairs said in a statement that no remains or artwork related to the memory of Rabindranath Tagore was damaged during the incident, while an employee on duty had a quarrel over a parking ticket. After the incident, the mob attacked the auditorium of Kachhribari and vandalized and beat up a director of the institute.
The statement said that the district administration and archeology department have formed separate investigation committees and law enforcement officials have arrested five people in connection with the incident. It says that efforts are being made by the authorities to catch others involved in the incident.

The statement said, “Ravindra Kachhariibari has been reopened to visitors since Friday.”
India strongly condemned the barbarity on Thursday and described this violent attack as an insult to the memory of poet Rabindranath Tagore and his inclusive philosophy. India urged the interim government of Bangladesh to curb these elements and take “strict action” against criminals to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.
