Bangladesh Ambassador Allegation on Muhammad Yunus: Bangladesh Ambassador to Morocco Harun Al Rashid has seriously accused Mohammad Yunus of supporting fundamentalists and spreading chaos in the country. Rashid says that Yunus is plotting to break the secular structure of Bangladesh and to demolish the government of Sheikh Hasina.
Harun Al Rashid wrote in his Facebook post that Bangladesh is under the grip of terror and chaos. He alleged that under the rule of Mohammad Yunus, fundamentalists have been given an open exemption and the media has been suppressed, due to which reports of atrocities are not coming out. Rashid wrote, ‘Under the leadership of Yunus, fundamentalists are engaged in destroying the secular and cultural identity of Bangladesh. These people are destroying museums, Sufi dargahs and Hindu temples.
Atrocities on women and minorities
Rashid alleged that atrocities on women and minorities have increased during Yunus’s rule. He said that radical organizations like Hizab-Ut-Tahrir, Islamic State and Al Qaeda are openly demanding Islamic rule and they are getting support from Yunus. Rashid said that since the efforts to demolish Sheikh Hasina’s government, these radicals have been trying to weaken the fabric of the country and Younis is also supporting her.
Attack on secularism and cultural identity
Harun al -Rashid insisted that Bangladesh was established as a secular country, but now fundamentalists are trying to erase this identity. He said, “Both Bangladesh founder Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his daughter Sheikh Hasina have been the target of extremists, and now Yunus is also giving them instigation.”
Yunus’s real face comes out: Rashid
Rashid alleged that Muhammad Yunus has shown his real face since coming to power. He has now become a tyrannical ruler, not a reformer. He said that Yunus has waged a war against the Bangladesh that Sheikh Hasina had built.
Appeal to international community
Harun Al Rashid has appealed to Western countries to take action against Muhammad Yunus. He alleged that the international community is silent on increasing chaos and human rights violations in Bangladesh and ignoring it.

Harun Al Rashid was appointed as an ambassador of Bangladesh in Morocco in October 2023. He has served in various international missions in Bangladesh in countries like Canada, Rome, Cairo, Mexico City and Madrid. His recent comment expresses deep concern about Bangladesh’s situation.
