After entering India, a Bangladeshi criminal hidden in West Bengal disguised as a monk was arrested from Nadia district. On the basis of secret information, an official said that West Bengal STF officials along with the local police raided Tehatta area on Saturday night and arrested 60 -year -old Mohammad Hashim Malik alias Hashim Ali Malik.
Police arrested after raid
He said that the investigation was started on the basis of the complaint lodged by Sub Inspector Mohammad Abdul Noor Chaudhary, Sub -Inspector of West Bengal Special Work Force. The official said, “Hashim was allegedly involved in heinous crimes in Bangladesh. He was hiding in Baliura Purba Para of Tehatta by creating a fake Indian identity card. We were aware of him. We raided with the help of local police and arrested him on Saturday evening.”
Bangladeshi criminal hiding in the monk for 30 years
“During the initial interrogation, the Bangladeshi criminal admitted that he had crossed the border to avoid legal proceedings for crimes committed in Bangladesh,” the official said. He also informed that he also admitted to making fake Indian identity documents. He told that he was wanted in many cases in Bangladesh and was living in Nadia district of Bengal for 30 years.
Mamta is building a safe house for terrorists- BJP
On this matter, Bijpi accused the Trinamool government led by Mamata Banerjee of making the state a safe house for terrorists. BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul said, “Bengal has become a safe haven for terrorists. They are trying to make it Bangladesh. Is Mamata Banerjee’s police not aware of this? What was the state’s intelligence department doing. Such cases say that Mamta Banerjee does not want SIR in Bengal. It is to save her vote bank.
