Like every month, there are going to be the holidays in March in March, on which the banks are going to be closed. Banks are going to be closed on different dates in different states on festivals. According to the RBI Bank Holiday List, the banks will remain closed for 14 days in this month, including Holi (Holi 2025) and Eid-ul-Fitr.   • March 7 (Friday): Chapchar Kut – Banks will be closed in Mizoram due to this traditional festival celebrated after harvesting.
  • March 13 (Thursday): Holika Dahan and Atukal Pongala – Banks will remain closed in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand and Kerala.
  • March 14 (Friday): Holi (Dhulandi, Dole Jatra) – Most states except Tripura, Odisha, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Manipur, Kerala and Nagaland will be a public holiday in most states.
  • March 15 (Saturday): Holi – Tripura, Odisha, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Manipur will celebrate Holi on this day.
  • March 22 (Saturday): Bihar Day – Banks will be closed in Bihar on the occasion of state’s foundation day.
  • March 27 (Thursday): Shab-e-Qadra-Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Kashmir for this Islamic festival.
  • March 28 (Friday): Zuma-ul-Vida-The last Friday of Ramadan will be a bank holiday in Jammu and Kashmir.
  • March 31 (Monday): Eid-ul-Fitr-Except Mizoram and Himachal Pradesh, most states will have public holidays.

Plan in advance
If you are going to go to the bank in March, then you should already plan. Since most of these holidays fall in the week of the week, customers should plan their banking needs accordingly. While bank branch will remain closed, digital banking services like net banking, UPI and ATM will be operational. For any particular bandh or change, the local bank should check from the branch.
