The bank has issued a directive for its account holders, which has said that if you do not keep the monthly month in your account by maintaining at least 10 thousand rupees, then there will be a huge fine. This fine can be up to 6 % of the remaining balance or a maximum of Rs 500. This instruction has been issued by Development Bank of Singapore (DBS) India.

According to the website of DBS Bank India, from August 1, 2025, the fee will be 6% of the remaining amount for not maintaining the average monthly balance, the maximum limit of which will be Rs 500. The average monthly balance (Amb) for the savings account of this bank is Rs 10,000. DBS Bank has also shared information through SMS to its customers.

Will the rule change from 1 August?
DBS India said on its website that from August 1, 2025, your savings account will change the non-presentation charge on the basis of type. Now account holders will have to pay charge for not having more average monthly balance than before.

The RBI had approved the increase in ATM charge, which is effective since May 1, 2025. After the RBI notification, DCB Bank has also imposed a maximum fee of Rs 23 on each ATM cash transaction after the free transaction limit is over. Like other banks, DBS Bank is also charging a fee of Rs 23 on each non-DBS bank ATM cash withdrawal transactions after the free transaction is over. However, if DCB Bank has an account and withdraws from DBS bank’s ATM, then it will remain free. You can withdraw cash without any fee.

DCB Bank had informed that according to the guidelines issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the cash withdrawal fee from ATM has been increased from 1 May 2025 to Rs 23 on every transaction. The bank gave this information to the customers through mail.

Significantly, on March 28, 2025, RBI had said that beyond free transactions, the customer can be charged a maximum of Rs 23 per transaction. It will be effective from May 1, 2025. If any tax is applied to this, then it will be extra, which can be done according to the transaction.
