On Tuesday, 3 innocent children were tragically killed by drowning in a deep pit made from soil digging in Lohrauli village of Basti district of UP. It is said that all three children were playing and in the meantime they had gone towards the pit in the field. At present, SP Abhinandan also reached the spot as soon as the information was received and sent the dead bodies and sent it for postmortem.
In fact, soil excavation work was going on for a long time in a farm located on the outskirts of Lohrauli village of Old Basti police station area. Due to which there was a big and deep pit there. Due to the recent torrential rains, this pit was completely filled with water. It is being told that on Tuesday morning, three children between the ages of 8 to 12 years came towards this field in sports.

While playing, he reached very close to the pit filled with water. According to eyewitnesses, due to possibly not being able to guess the depth of the water, a child fell into the first pit and in an attempt to save it, the other two children also got into the same pit one after the other. On seeing this, all three innocent drowned in water.
By the time the villagers got a glimpse of it and they reached the spot, it was too late. Seeing the children drowning, there was a scream. In a hurry, the villagers tried to take out the children, but the pit was so deep and the water was so full that they could not get success. After which the incident was immediately reported to the local police.
As soon as the information was received, the Superintendent of Police of Basti himself reached the spot with a heavy police force. He instructed to start immediate relief and rescue operations. After much effort with the joint help of villagers and police, the bodies of the three children were taken out of the pit one by one.
SP Abhinandan said that it is feared that these children died due to drowning. But the bodies of the children have been taken into possession and sent for postmortem. The Superintendent of Police has expressed deep grief over the incident and ordered a detailed investigation into the case.
