Former Indian cricketers RP Singh and Pragyan Ojha Senior Men’s Selection Committee have been included. It was decided on Sunday at the Annual Journal Meeting (AGM) held at the BCCI office in Mumbai.
Both have replaced S Sharat and Subroto Banerjee in the panel. This committee is being led by Ajit Agarkar, whose term is till 2026 T20 World Cup. It also includes Ajay Ratra and SS Das. Banerjee’s term is over, and S Sharat has been appointed as the chairman of the Junior Selection Committee.
At the same time, an IPL rule was also made during BCCI AGM. According to Cricbuzz, it was decided in the meeting that an under-16 player can play IPL only when he has played at least one Ranji Trophy match.
RP Singh was a member of the team winning 2007 T-World Cup RP Singh has been a member of India’s 2007 T20 World Cup winning team. He has played 82 international matches, in which he took 124 wickets. These include 14 Tests, 58 ODIs and 10 T20s. Apart from this, he was also part of the team winning the Ranji Trophy of Gujarat under the captaincy of Parthiv Patel in 2016-17.

His last international match was also the last Test of veteran batsman Sachin Tendulkar, in which Ojha took 10 wickets. Ojha performed brilliantly in domestic cricket for Hyderabad and also played for Bengal and Bihar. He will replace S Sharat.
