A red alert has been issued in Delhi today i.e. for Thursday. Both temperature and moisture will be very high, which can have a serious effect on people. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has expressed the possibility of rain with dust storm or thunderstorms by evening, in which the wind speed can be up to 60 kilometers per hour.
Humidity will increase people’s problems
Last evening Delhi recorded up to 40% moisture, due to which the ‘feel like’ temperature reached about 52 degrees Celsius. Orange alert has also been issued for today. According to the Meteorological Department, moisture levels will remain a lot, which will make people feel more of heat and humidity and increase discomfort.
Hope to get relief at the end of the week
In the northern parts of the country, moisture is increasing due to an active Western disturbance. There is a possibility of rain in Delhi and surrounding areas from this Friday, which may continue till the end of the week.
After these thunderstorm activities, the maximum temperature of Delhi is expected to fall below 40 degrees Celsius, which can give people a large extent from the scorching heat in the coming days.
