There is almost a week left in the beginning of the next season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Now a big news has come out before IPL 2025. Delhi Capitals (DC) has announced its captain’s name. All -rounder Akshar Patel will captain Delhi Capitals in IPL 2025.
Earlier it was being speculated that KL Rahul would become the captain of Delhi Capitals. Rahul was bought by Delhi Capitals for Rs 14 crore in the IPL 2025 auction, but the franchise paid attention to Akshar Patel on him. Akshar has led Baroda in 16 T20 matches in T20 cricket, in which the team has won 10. Akshar also captained Delhi Capitals in the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in the last IPL season. Delhi then had to face defeat by 47 runs.
