A scooter rider in Bengaluru had to pay a fine of Rs 1.6 lakh in 311 traffic violation cases. According to officials, his gearless scooter was seized by the Bengaluru Traffic Police, after which he had to pay the fine.
According to the report, when the traffic police collected the receipts of the fine, their total size was about 20 meters. On Monday, the City Market Traffic Police seized the scooter and issued a notice to the driver, asking him to pay his outstanding fine.
Sharing information on the ‘X’ platform, the traffic police said that the owner of the scooter was detected on 3 February and his vehicle was confiscated by the police on the same day.
On February 4, the vehicle was released only when its owner paid a fine of Rs 1,61,500. The police also said that the vehicle owner has been advised to strictly follow the traffic rules.
Bengaluru Traffic Police says that this action is a warning for other drivers to follow traffic rules and avoid any kind of violation.
