During a police encounter in Bangalore, a crook was injured by a policeman walked in the case of murder when he was trying to escape from the opportunity. The police have taken the accused into custody and taken to the hospital for treatment.

The Bengaluru police told PTI about the encounter that the wanted crook in a recent murder case was shot in the leg during a brief encounter on Tuesday morning. The incident happened when the accused miscreant attempted to run away after attacking the police team.

The police officer further said that the incident took place at around 5.30 am within the boundary of Sarjapur police station on the outskirts of the city. The accused crook was involved in the murder of another crook named 38 -year -old Srinivas Venkatesh, who was murdered on the night of 28 January.

According to the police, Srinivas was the leader of the gang who was involved in the murder. A senior police officer said that on the basis of a secret information, the police laid a trap and when he was asked to surrender, he tried to escape and attacked the police team.

Meanwhile, a police officer fired in the air as a warning, but despite this, when he tried to escape, he got shot in the leg. He said that the accused crook was caught and he has been admitted to the hospital.
