Bengaluru crime news: On Sunday (June 22, 2025), a case of molestation and assault with a woman has come to light in Renuka Yellamma Layout near Bengaluru. The footage of this entire incident was captured in CCTV. Surprisingly, the police arrested the victim’s friend on the charge of this case. The main accused in this case is still absconding.
Accused assaulted the victim
The woman left the house to get groceries. Then some people stopped his path. It is seen in the footage that these people were following him and trying to force them and talk to them. Troubled by this, when the woman tries to escape from there, one of the accused man assaulted the victim.
Police arrested the victim’s friend
The victim’s friend and the local people present there helped her. The police have arrested the victim’s friend for beating an accused. Shortly thereafter, the accused allegedly entered the woman’s neighborhood and attacked the people who came to save her. It is seen in a clip that the accused was trying to enter from the gate with a residential campus.
The victim told the incident
The victim said, “I was going to the shop when the boys were seen fighting in the middle of the road. They stopped me and tried to touch me forcibly. When I opposed it, they assaulted me. After that the people present there helped me.” The woman has lodged a complaint with the Bannerghatta police. Police said that a case has been registered and investigation is on. Police said that a complaint has been filed on both sides.
