After the suicide of 34 year old software engineer Atul Subhash, the suicide of bakery owner Puneet Khurana in Model Town, North Delhi has shocked. The family of Puneet, who hanged himself in his house, has alleged that his wife and his in-laws were harassing and taunting Puneet, due to which Puneet was facing mental torture. Puneet’s wife was living separately from him. The family members also claimed that Puneet’s wife kept demanding his share in the bakery business, due to which he took a suicide-like step.
According to the Khurana family, Puneet was upset with his wife Manika Pahwa. Both of them got married in 2016. The couple were also co-owners of ‘For God’s’ Cake Bakery. There was also a restaurant named Woodbox Cafe, which was closed some time ago.
Puneet’s sister told news agency ANI on Wednesday that Manika Pahwa’s parents and her sister put pressure on my brother Puneet, put him under stress and instigated him by saying, ‘If you can’t do anything, if you have courage then commit suicide.’ Take’. There is also a video recording of about 59 minutes shot by Manika on her phone. In that video, Puneet has mentioned the harassment by his wife, we showed and narrated the recording to the police, but when we asked for a copy of it, they did not give us a copy of it.
He alleged that Manika’s family threatened to throw our parents out of the house and challenged Puneet to open his shop again. They kept abusing and mentally pressurizing her. When asked about the bakery business dispute between the couple, Puneet’s sister said that when the pre-divorce agreement was signed, it was decided that her brother would take over the management of For God’s Bakery and his estranged wife Woodbox. Manika used to call Puneet and ask for share
Puneet’s sister alleged that earlier they used to run a bakery in partnership, but during the divorce process, she (Manika Pahwa) used to call her and ask for her share. She kept saying that she will not give up her share, when the matter was already decided in the court, then Manika should have raised the matter in the court instead of troubling my brother.
Manika hacked Puneet’s Instagram account
Manika also hacked Puneet’s Instagram account. She used to misbehave with people through Puneet’s Instagram account. Because of this, my brother called her at 3 in the morning and both of them argued over the phone regarding the bakery business. On the other hand, Puneet Khurana’s troubled mother said that her son’s estranged wife Manika kept harassing him mentally. He said that his son never shared anything with the family, because the son felt that the parents would be unnecessarily worried.

The victim’s mother told ANI that I was hopeful that my son and Manika would live happily after their separation. Because he was broken from inside. Both of them were in partnership, so they used to fight over business. He never told us such things because he thought we would get upset. Manika tortured Puneet so much that he was forced to take this step. Puneet’s mother said that I have lost my son, I want justice for him.

North-West Delhi DCP Bhisham Singh said on the suicide case of Delhi bakery owner that the victim’s father had told that his son was going through marital discord. He also alleged that his daughter-in-law harassed him, due to which he committed suicide. DCP said that Puneet hanged himself with a cloth. Post mortem of the dead body will be done, the report will come by tomorrow. If any issue comes to light, we will form a board. After that necessary action will be taken. They were married in 2016 and separated two years ago, the divorce process was going on. We have interrogated the woman’s family.
