Lok Sabha: In the Lok Sabha, Congress MP Manish Tiwari sought an answer from the government regarding the red pamphlet thrown by Shaheed Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt. He said that 96 years ago, these revolutionaries had lodged a protest against the British rule in the Central Assembly and threw some leaflets which is a historical document in the freedom struggle.
Manish Tiwari said in the Lok Sabha said, ‘According to reports, some copies of the Red Pamphlet and the personal belongings of Bhagat Singh may be present in the Malakhana of the Parliament Police Station, but the government says that there is nothing like that. He requested the government to get the matter re -investigated as it is an important part of India’s legacy and freedom struggle.

1,607 banned documents present in India in London
Apart from this, Manish Tiwari also informed that there are 1,607 banned documents in the London -based India Office Library and the British Museum, most of which are associated with the All India Congress Committee. These documents were de-classified in 2017-18, but have not been brought to India yet.
Three important questions from the government
Manish Tiwari asked the government three important questions in Lok Sabha
- Does the government know about these historical documents?
- Will the government take any steps to bring back copies of ‘Red Pamphlet’?
- Will the government bring a project to gather charge sheet related to judicial record and freedom struggle so that the role of common people can also be recorded in history?
