In Bhandara district of Maharashtra, two people were killed and three others were seriously injured in a face-to-face collision with a high speed truck and car. This accident took place near Gurda village of Lakhni Tehsil.
According to the report of the news agency, the police said that Pramod Bain (43), a resident of Chamori in Gadchiroli district, was taking the laborers from his car to work in Kandari village of Tumsar tehsil of Bhandara district. A total of five people were riding in the car. Around 12 noon, when the car was passing by Gurda village of Lakhni Tehsil, the speeding truck coming from the front hit directly.
The collision was so severe that Pramod Bain (43) in the car and Pramod Rishi Pustode (42), resident of Mahagaon, Gondia, died on the spot. The car was completely damaged and the other three people aboard were seriously injured.
Kalidas Pandey (36), Dinesh Bunker (28) and Nishant Meshram (21), who live in Mahagaon, were seriously injured in this accident. With the help of local people and police, he was immediately admitted to Bhandara District General Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. After the accident, the police arrested the truck driver Dilip Bisen. Initial investigation has revealed that the truck was at high speed and the accident occurred due to coming in the wrong direction.
This painful accident has led to mourning in the families of the dead. The police have registered a case and are investigating a thorough investigation into the cause of the accident. Officials said that the initial investigation has revealed the negligence of the truck driver and further action is going on.
