Bhopal: There will be a change in the design of 90 degree bridge, Railways agreed to give additional land – There will be a change in the 90 degree Railway over Bridge of Bhopal LCLN

The Aishbagh railway over bridge (ROB), built in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, was already engulfed in controversies before its inauguration, but now the effect of ‘Aaj Tak’ is visible. After the questions raised about the 90 degree dangerous turn of this bridge, the Railways has agreed to give additional land for change in design.

‘Aaj Tak’ had raised the issue of design of this bridge prominently, after which PWD sources said that after providing land from the railway, the railing of the bridge will be broken and 90 degrees turns will be made more curved. This will increase the width of the bridge by three feet, which will provide additional space to bend the vehicles.

This 648 meter long bridge, built at a cost of Rs 18 crore, has been built in the Aishbagh region with densely populated and random traffic. There was a possibility of accidents due to a scathing turn of 90 degrees in its design.

On the social media platform ‘X’, user Manish Chaudhary wrote, “This is the Aishbagh Rail over Bridge of Bhopal, which has been prepared by PWD in the entire 10 years, as if there is a ‘engineering miracle’. Such structures are not needed, not the need of the public, to fill the pockets of the officers. This bridge will not only be a new center of traffic jam, but this twist of 90 degrees will be made.”

Another user Mukesh wrote, “Death will come as a 90 degree angle. This angle of development has come out in Madhya Pradesh capital Bhopal. 18 crores have been spent.”

When journalists questioned PWD Minister Rakesh Singh on this issue, he said, “After the bridge, suddenly some experts come and talk like this, while many technical aspects are seen while building a bridge. If there is any allegation, it will be investigated.”

After the news of ‘Aaj Tak’, now this move of Railways and PWD is expected to improve the safety and traffic ease of the bridge.
